On 13th March, Dean Dr. Jia-Yi Cheng-Levine with the International College of Grand Canyon University in addition to Mr. Tim, Director of the International Department arrived at Anqing Foreign Language School to conduct exchange activities.
Initially at 8.45 A.M. the two distinguished guests along with Anqing Foreign Language School’s President Madam Huang Wenli, other school leaders and teachers attended the foreign teacher Philipps’s ESL listening and speaking demonstration lesson at the Senior One Study-Abroad Class.
Evidently, students positively cooperated with their teacher. Therefore, the atmosphere was lively and the response was overwhelming. After class, Dr. Jia-Yi Cheng-Levine and Mr. Tim held an informative and incisive seminar for all the students from the 10th and 11th grades as well as their parents in terms of relevant issues concerning studying abroad in the United States of America. All the students and parents listened attentively, benefiting a lot. Also, they interacted with Dr. Jia-Yi Cheng-Levine and Mr. Tim regarding the overseas studies. The two respectful guests answered their questions one by one and offered plenty of practical advice to the students present.
Overall, by means of this lecture, not only did parents and students have a more thorough understanding towards studying abroad, but also took the initiative to prepare related issues for the overseas studies.
